U.S. AbilityOne Commission Annual Report 2011

Hillmer planned, managed, designed and edited the 2011 Annual Report for the U.S. AbilityOne Commission, whose members are appointed by the President of the United States to oversee the AbilityOne Program. The Program’s mission is to provide employment opportunities for people who are blind or have severe disabilities in the manufacture and delivery of products and services to the Federal Government. Hillmer performed the work for client National Industries for the Blind (NIB), who, with NISH-Creating Employment Opportunities for People with Significant Disabilities, are the designated central nonprofit agencies (NPAs) that assist with Program implementation.

The U.S. AbilityOne Commission Annual Report 2011: National Treasures is a 50-page, full-color publication that illustrates thematically how the AbilityOne mission is focused on the nation by helping employ and support its greatest wealth: its people. The report highlights the achievements of the past year; the partnerships, contracts and customers critical to the AbilityOne mission; and the participating non-profits and leaders who deserve recognition. A detachable list of participating NPAs by state and an associated Congressional U.S. map is included.
