Fredericksburg Regional Alliance (FRA)
FRA Website Drupal Conversion

The Fredericksburg Regional Alliance (FRA), a regional nonprofit organization that partners with public and private regional organizations, wanted to maintain the look and feel of its existing website (developed by Hillmer) but needed a highly flexible content management approach. Hillmer’s expert Drupal developers created a user-friendly content management system (CMS) and paired it with easy-to-understand user documentation – all within budget and ahead of schedule. As a result, FRA’s team members can now quickly update their organization’s website with ease.

FRA’s website, www.fra-yes.org, serves as the online portal for partners, capital investors and other businesses seeking comprehensive demographic, economic and commercial real estate information on the Fredericksburg, Virginia region. It is critical that FRA update their website with relevant data so investors and stakeholders can get up-to-the minute data and make informed decisions.

Working closely with FRA, Hillmer applied our programming expertise and comprehensive understanding of Drupal content management systems while our design staff ensured the look and feel of the site remained identical to the existing site. Under the new CMS, several members of FRA’s team can now update the  website with minimal effort, realizing savings in both time and costs.  In addition, Hillmer provided FRA with hands-on training and a comprehensive customized user guide to further ensure easy updating of the website.

FRA focuses on the socioeconomic development of the greater Fredericksburg, Va. area. FRA seeks to expand job growth and business investment within Fredericksburg by working closely with local economic development offices, the Virginia Employment Commission (VEC), higher educational institutions and other regional groups.
